*ALL WEIGHTS AND MEASUREMENTS ARE APPROXIMATE* I measure each piece and do my best to accurately describe and evaluate the pieces I offer.  Pre-loved and vintage pieces can have imperfections or scratches from being owned and worn before. If you are unsure of the condition or quality of a gemstone, please ask! Please examine pictures carefully and ask questions before making a purchase if you are unsure. I am always happy to answer questions!

LOST OR STOLEN PACKAGES

Insurance can be purchased for your order at checkout through the service provider “Route Protection”. I highly suggest purchasing insurance on all orders. 

Kitty’s Karats is not responsible for lost or stolen packages that are confirmed to be delivered to the shipping address provided for the order. Kitty’s Karats is not responsible for orders that are delivered incorrectly or lost due to incorrect shipping information being provided at checkout. Please confirm your shipping address before finalizing checkout. If you receive a confirmation email with an address that needs to be updated, please contact me as soon as possible to make any changes. Once an order has shipped, we cannot make any changes to your shipping address. We cannot refund shipping costs for shipments that are returned to us due to an error in the address provided.

 

 

What is pre-loved?

Pre-loved pieces are pieces of jewelry that have been owned and loved by someone else! They have lived a whole life before reaching you! How sweet is that!?


Where is Kitty's Karats located?

Detroit, MI, however, I do not have a physical storefront. I'm a 100% online, woman-owned, small business. I host approximately 1-5 pop-ups a year and have been hosted in local stores for several months.

Can you hold an item for me?

I cannot hold an item without an installment payment being made. An item is not sold until payment is received. 

Do you offer resizing services?

Yes. I offer resizing services. For necklaces and bracelets, please contact me for a quote. I can resize rings, however, I recommend visiting your local trusted jeweler to ensure proper ring size measurements can be determined. 

Do you offer layaway?

Yes! ShopPay is available at checkout. Additionally, you can email or DM me on Instagram to set up a layaway. Layaway terms are below and can be negotiated.

Orders of $200-$750 can be on layaway for 4 weeks. Orders over $751 can be on layaway for up to 8 weeks, please contact me to discuss payment dates.

For the 4 week layaway option ($250-$750), your order is divided into 3 payments. The initial payment is due the day you place the order. The second payment is due 2 weeks from the order date, and the final third payment is due 4 weeks from the order date. 

If that works for you, then please checkout on my website and select "layaway" for payment! Contact me by IG DM @KittysKarats or by e-mail at kitty@kittyskarats.com to discuss payment amounts. Then follow the instructions to send your first payment. 

If a layaway cannot be completed, all payments will be converted into store credit, as no refunds will be issued.

Why is my package being held by my country's customs office?

Duties, taxes, and fees are due on almost all packages. You are responsible for these as the purchaser. I recommend contacting your country’s customs office to determine how much this may be before making a purchase if you are unsure.
