Jewelry Essentials
Electronic Scale - This is the easiest to use scale and it is a perfect size.
Metal Ring Sizer - This is extremely handy for those that want to purchase rings but want to confirm their ring size first. Metal is better than the plastic version because it is most similar to the fit of gold rings. I use mine all the time!
Ultrasonic Cleaner - The Ultrasonic cleaner can be used as jewelry cleaner, denture cleaner, eyeglass cleaner, watch cleaner, coin cleaner, and more. Do NOT use with jewelry that has diamonds/gemstones/pearls.
Jewelry Cleaning Solution - I use this solution in my ultrasonic cleaner.
Travel-size Diamond Ring Cleaner - This is a MUST HAVE for anyone with a diamond ring. You can put it in your purse and clean your ring as needed. We all know that those things get cloudy looking in just one day of normal wear! This is a savior.
Silver Cleaner - Be careful to not dip longer than it says! 5-10 seconds is all you need for BRIGHT silver jewelry. I recommend rinsing after and polishing with a cloth linked below.
Jewelry Polishing Cloth - This is for gold and silver. In my opinion, it works miracles! First clean with the red cloth, then with the yellow cloth and voila!
Calipers - This isn't totally necessary, however, sometimes it is nice to have when trying to visualize the thickness of a chain or band. This caliper linked uses batteries. I would not buy the one that doesn't use batteries, I find it frustrating to use.
Diamond Tester and Magnifier - This combo is great for testing diamonds and viewing hallmarks on your jewelry. For the price, this is definitely worth the buy!
Gem Tester - This is also not necessary, especially because it is pricey. It is also not 100% accurate because there are many other factors that go into testing gemstones. However, it is fun to play with and it will give you a general sense of what the gemstone you are testing is.
